Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe called Pistol Annies, with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert in 2007, followed by her release of her 2nd album named Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe works as the Assistant village manager of Riverside Illinois. With over 15 years work experience, she's served in various public positions including five years spent as Iowa City's Deputy City Manager position. The current duties of the Assistant Village Manager are to oversee the operation of the Community Development and Building Department managing grants, as well as completing specific initiatives. Ashley is responsible for the daily operations at Riverside Village while also implementing the vision and strategy of elected officials. Ashley's previous positions included the planning of municipal services, public communications, budgeting, personnel management and collective negotiation. She also focused on the climate change issue.
